Just a long awaited update...

So I have meant to write a new blog post for ages. Literally, ages. But it was always one thing or another that came up, so I didn't. But here I am now.

Ultimate. Being a part of the Hellions this season has been awesome. Awesome! Although we have had some rough patches in adjusting to being one of the best teams in the nation, read Centex, we've managed to pull it through and had a great showing at Sectionals (which I was So Cal Sectionals Coordinator, craziness) Regionals (very cold, but the family came out to watch) to make it to Nationals! The pools for Nationals were just posted today and I am so excited I can barely contain myself. As Balls said, "Focus bubble- popped," which I guess is OK because I just finished my last final today.

It's really nice to be done with classes. Do I know exactly what I am going to be doing this summer yet? No. But that's my project for the rest of this week. That... and working out. And watching my roommate move out to go on a 6 month trip around the world. She is leaving directly from Columbus to South East Asia, crazy woman. I am going to miss her greatly. Her insanity helps keep me sane, for some strange reason. But on the other hand Bambi is moving back in, and that is going to be awesome too.

I guess that is my update for today. More posts to come about Nationals, Studying abroad, and just more randomness from me.

Enjoy this! We certainly did.

Kick, Push, Cure

My friend from high school, Mark Dalmacio, is doing a fundraising event for Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America called Kick, Push, Cure. Essentially he is riding his skateboard from South Lake Tahoe to Northridge, over 435 miles, to support the cause.

You can find out more information about Mark by following him on Twitter or Facebook.

Please donate to the cause!

Things I Learned Today

I think I might do shorter blog posts on things that I learned or thought about during the day. Since I seem to have been rather lax in my posting lately, and haven't had many long things to write.

Anyway, so the team is headed to Centex this weekend. Which is really exciting (I promise I will write a follow-up blog after the tournament) because we have never been invited to this high caliber of a tournament before.

As you have seen before with Hellions Pie, we Hellions like to put a lot of creativity into our cheers, songs, spirit, what have you... and at Centex there is a dance off! These were some entrants/winners from last years competition.
So I guess the point of this whole thing is 1) to prepare you for the amazingness that is sure to be posted here eventually and 2) to let you know that today with very little help (Thank you Kyle!) I figured out how to edit a song with Audacity and make it sound good together. I was very excited about this! Instead of just dancing... we are dancing AND singing!

Get ready for Be A Team!

Hellions! Hell yeah!
